Statsig Server Core is a performance-based rewrite of our Java, Node, Elixir, Rust, and Python server SDKs to share a core optimized Rust library. This update enables faster and more efficient server-side metrics evaluation and processing.
Performance boost: Experience 5-10x faster evaluation speeds thanks to performance optimizations with Rust.
New features: Enjoy new server-side features including Parameter Stores, SDK Observability Interfaces, and streaming flag/experiment changes with the Statsig Forward Proxy.
If you’re using a legacy server SDK and want to migrate to Server Core, you can get started with our docs. There are no set deprecation dates for legacy SDKs yet, but customers who want to enjoy the latest features from Statsig are encouraged to update to Server Core. If you have any questions or concerns about migrating, reach out to us on the Statsig Slack.
In addition to unlocking faster performance, Server Core enables us at Statsig to focus more of our efforts on shipping meaningful features and less on SDK maintenance tasks. We're really excited about this as part of our engineering ethos to reduce tech debt and invest in what matters to our customers most in the long-term.
