Anonymous: I have a billing question, more like a usage question. I’m currently evaluating the Statsig product for my company. We are using the free version. On the pricing model, it states that there are 2 million events it would support, but I just got a notification that we are over 90% of usage with 1.1M events; and we have 16K events remaining in the month. This figure is well short of the 2 million events. How is this 2 million events?
Anonymous: The docs clearly states “2M events/month for analytics, experiments & more”.
Vijaye (Statsig): We are transitioning from 1M to 2M events free on July 1, but the pricing page got updated a bit earlier. That said we will make sure your account reflects 2M.
Vijaye (Statsig): I have added 2M free event credits to your account. <@U04LUNKG8N4> as an FYI on the billing issue.
Matt Garnes (Statsig): hey <@U077W8AT23W> sorry we updated the docs too early here, I know that was confusing. You should be good to keep testing out Statsig and will now have up to 3M free events this month after Vijaye added that to your account.
Anonymous: Thank you very much!
Matt Garnes (Statsig): You’re welcome! Thanks for considering Statsig and let us know if there’s anything else we can help with while you try us out.
Matt Garnes (Statsig): oh and let me know right away if you experience any disruption. We don’t typically apply extra events to free tier customers. I spent a few minutes this morning convincing myself the system should work well for you and you can disregard the 90%+ warnings you got, but just in case I missed something please just reach out if you see any unexpected behavior using your newly added events.
Anonymous: will do and thank you!
Anonymous: as far as I can see, the 2M events were added to the usage. fingers crossed
Matt Garnes (Statsig): Great! I’m hoping for the best
