How Can I Remove a Group from an Experiment and its Pulse Results Without Restarting the Experiment?

Date of slack thread: 6/4/24

Anonymous: Hi team, is there a way to remove a group from an experiment without having to restart it? In a scenario where I have an experiment running for several months with three groups, and one is not performing well, I want to remove a group and continue with the last two. Disabling a group does not seem to have the desired effect, as it does not remove the group from the pulse results.

Cooper Reid (Statsig): <@U06SBTW7Y3D> the bot is correct here, there is an option to disable a group for a running test within the […] menu

Anonymous: Yes, I’m aware of that. In my message I said: Disabling a group does not seem to have the desired effect, as it does not remove the group from the pulse results.

Anonymous: So to make my question more specific, is there a way to remove a group from an experiment without having to restart it, and also remove the group from the pulse results?

Cooper Reid (Statsig): No, you’d have to Reset, remove the group, and Start again to remove a group from Results altogether

Anonymous: Ok, thank you for clarifying.
