Anonymous: Hey team, did you have any issues with StatSig on July 2nd? We observed a huge spike in a non-unique event (count) for a test variation during a particular hour. For the remaining time, it remained flat. The same event unique per users didn’t have such a spike. Can you help us to find the stableID of the user/users who generated such number of events? Looks like a bot. The difference Control: 66 vs Test: 1461.
Anonymous: So do you suggest as the best way to make such analysis is to export data from the experiment in excel and find the bot-like behavior there?
Ryan Musser (Statsig): <@U057R37HM3K> do you have access to the metric explorer in Statsig? This would be a great tool to do this type of analysis
Anonymous: <@U037NPXQ1UN> yes, I do, but as far as I know it doesn’t let you view a session of specific stable or user IDs.
Ryan Musser (Statsig): In the chart type, you can select view samples. This will show you specific rows. You can also filter down to users that are only a part of that experiment as well in the filtering section using a group by, experiment or feature gate, then selecting your experiment. See screenshots attached.
